De winst van Ferrari-coureur Fernando Alonso in de Grand Prix van Groot-Brittannie heeft de hoop van de concurrenten van Red Bull Racing nieuw leven ingeblazen. De Oostenrijkse renstal is niet onverslaanbaar, het is mogelijk.

Zo verwoordt McLaren-testrijder Pedro de la Rosa het gevoel na Silverstone op de site van Formula Santander. Misschien was dit wel de meest overtuigende overwinning van het seizoen tot nu toe. De fouten bij de pitstop van Sebastian Vettel en de teamorders die ze moesten uitvaardigen om hun eerste coureur te beschermen nodigen ons uit om te denken dat een comeback niet langer een wonder is. Het is mogelijk. Het zal wel extreem moeilijk zijn, maar het is niet onmogelijk.
