Ricciardo stelt verkleinen van achterstand ten doel voor Duitsland

Daniel Ricciardo staat aan de vooravond van zijn tweede Grand Prix-weekend. De Australiër debuteerde anderhalf week geleden op Silverstone voor Hispania Racing en eindigde als laatste. Ervaren teamgenoot Vitantonio Liuzzi was in de trainingen nog in het vizier, maar versloeg Ricciardo in de kwalificatie en de race toch ruim.

De 22-jarige coureur blikt vooruit naar de Duitse Grand Prix. Ik kijk tevreden terug op mijn eerste race namens Hispania Racing in Silverstone. Het was mooi om de finish te halen en ervaring op te doen. Ideaal gezien had ik dichter bij mijn concurrenten willen staan, maar dat is het doel voor deze race. Ik heb geleerd dat de banden sparen veel meer vergt dan ik vooraf dacht. Dat is een van de aspecten waarop ik progressie wil boeken. De doelstelling voor Duitsland is finishen en het gat naar mijn tegenstanders en Vitantonio verkleinen.
