Leclerc pakt unieke Grand Slam in Melbourne

Charles Leclerc gaat momenteel ruimschoots aan de leiding van het wereldkampioenschap. De Monegaskische Ferrari-coureur won vandaag ook de Australische Grand Prix en dat deed hij op zeer dominante wijze. Hij reed van begin tot eind aan de leiding van de race en hij startte ook nog eens op pole position.

Leclerc reed in Melbourne ook nog eens de snelste ronde en daarmee completeerde hij zijn eerste Grand Slam uit zijn loopbaan. Een Grand Slam houdt in dat een coureur de race wint door alle rondes aan de leiding te rijden, de pole position te pakken en de snelste ronde te rijden. Leclerc voldeed aan deze voorwaarden en kan een mooie titel aan zijn palmares toevoegen.

      Hij is ook lucky. Lucky dat Ferrari gewoon zijn zaken goed voor elkaar heeft. En daar maakt Leclerc gebruik van. Zoals het hoort.

      Ik dacht altijd dat een grand slam was als je alle vrije trainingen als snelste afsloot, pole pakte en als eerste finished.

    Helemaal verdiend. Je moet er een goede auto voor hebben, maar Leclerc laat geen steekje vallen in tegenstelling tot Sainz, RB en Mercedes. Ik denk dat hij de titel zo goed als in de pocket zal hebben aan het eind van de zomer met een punt of 90 a 100 verschil.
