Verstappen wil veranderingen zien in planning persconferenties

Max Verstappen en zijn concullega's schoven vanochtend aan voor de gebruikelijke persconferenties. Voorheen vonden deze gesprekken plaats op de donderdag maar men heeft besloten om het schema voor dit seizoen om te gooien. In theorie is het weekend nu één dag korter, maar in werkelijkheid is er niet veel veranderd.

Doordat de persconferenties nu een dag zijn verplaatst is de donderdag officieel gezien geen onderdeel van het evenement meer. In de praktijk steekt de vork iets anders in de steel. De coureurs schuiven op donderdag niet meer aan voor de persconferenties maar hebben wel allerlei andere persverplichtingen. Hierdoor hebben de coureurs het alsnog druk op donderdag en moeten ze zich vrijdag eerder op het circuit melden.

Drukker

Max Verstappen is niet bepaald te spreken over de wijziging van het schema. Sterker nog, de Nederlandse Red Bull-coureur wil veranderingen zien. Tegenover de internationale media sprak hij zich uit: "Het gaat mij erom hoe we dingen zoals de persconferenties en andere media-activiteiten aanpakken. Eerder was dat beter geregeld. Nu hebben we een lange donderdag terwijl dat geen officiële dag meer is. Nu hebben we het drukker op de donderdag en hebben we meer te doen op vrijdag. Ik vind het niet erg om eerder op het circuit te zijn maar de dagen zijn langer geworden. We hebben nu meer races en we zijn langer op het circuit. Dat moet zeker veranderen."

Hetzelfde

De regerend wereldkampioen wil dus dat er snel maatregelen worden genomen. Hij klaagt echter niet alleen maar, hij heeft ook goed over de zaak nagedacht: "Mij maakt het niet uit of het allemaal op donderdag of vrijdag gebeurt. Het gaat mij er meer om dat we eerst deze persconferentie hebben en daarna buiten alle media apart te woord staan. De TV-crews stellen ook allemaal dezelfde vraag. Je herhaalt jezelf dus de gehele tijd. Je probeert het interessant te houden maar uiteindelijk zeg je telkens hetzelfde."

  Ze stellen allemaal dezelfde vragen, dus je herhaalt jezelf zes of zeven keer. Je probeert het interessant te houden door elke keer iets anders te zeggen, maar je zegt altijd hetzelfde."De Red Bull-coureur stelt een oplossing voor die al in andere sporten wordt gebruikt: "In andere sporten worden veel microfoons bij elkaar gebracht voor de persconferentie en de omroepen kunnen dan zes, acht of tien vragen tegelijk stellen en zijn niet beperkt tot twee beperkte vragen." :)

Ik zou gewoon zeggen, degene die na de persconferentie dezelfde vragen stellen krijgen als antwoord: "Heb je tijdens de persconferentie zitten slapen? Dan heb je lekker pech gehad. Ga de persconferentie maar lekker terugkijken, dan heb je je antwoord."
