Verstappen steunt Van Eerd tijdens historische Grand Prix

Afgelopen weekend vond in Monaco de jaarlijkse Historische Grand Prix plaats. Op het legendarische stratencircuit in Monaco werd er stevig geracet met zeer veel historische bolides uit verschillende tijdperken. Het deelnemersveld was zeker niet mals en de gastenlijst van het evenement was ook vrij sterk.

Regerend wereldkampioen Max Verstappen kwam namelijk ook een kijkje nemen bij het event in zijn woonplaats. Hij kwam één coureur in het bijzonder steunen. Zijn sponsor en vriend Frits van Eerd deed namelijk ook mee in een Williams uit 1983. De grote man van supermarktketen Jumbo is tevens een verdienstelijk coureur en poseerde in zijn bolide met Verstappen.

Soms zie ik een foto van Max waarvan ik denk, tering het is al een echte man geworden.

Volgde vroeger Jos en ben al vrij vroeg Max gaan volgen hierdoor. Ongelofelijk wat voor een kerel Max nu is (en dat betekend dat ik zelf een ouwe lul ben geworden! :-))

      tja ik herken het, ik heb hem als junior zien Karten de KF2, de KF1 en de KZ2 en dat staat me als de dag van gisteren nog bij , ook de overstap naar de f3 dus ja , ook ik ben inmidels een oude l*l

      @beerkuh ach ja, hier zit er ook één. En maar gek worden van het nieuws dat Jos mogelijk weer kon rijden, jaar in en uit. Max kwam pas eigenlijk laat in het nieuws en met wat TV verschijningen, ben ik hem ook 'maar' gaan volgen.

      Frits reed op zaterdag, toen was Max er ook. Leclerc crashte op zondag.
      Ze lopen hier achter met de berichtgeving.

      Max staat bij Jumbo eens per jaar achter de kassa. Om de euro’s in ontvangst te nemen. Frits Van Eerd doet het wekelijks zodat hij weer een nieuwe (of tweedehanse) racewagen kan kopen. Zus Colette staat dagelijks aan de kassa om ons geld in ontvangst te nemen.

      Nee @Larry. Zij was zaterdag de hele dag druk met het uitzoeken van haar outfit voor in de kerk zondag, toen de kinderen van Max zijn zus werden gedoopt.

    Ik zag ook beelden van Leclerc waarbij ik dacht, tering da's waar ook vorig jaar reed hij op die baan ook al zo'n mooie rode Ferrari aan gort.......

    Hij was zeker weer eens in z'n uppie aan het pushen, dan kan het de beste overkomen.

    WTF doet Frits in Monaco terwijl hij in de IMSA had moeten racen?

    Geeft ook wel aan hoe serieus hij is wat het racen betreft, als hij een demonstratie belangrijker vindt dan een echte wedstrijd voor een kampioenschap waar hij aan meedoet. Terecht dus dat hij geen plek in de 24 uur van Le Mans aangeboden heeft gekregen.
