Alonso beticht van opzettelijk maken van fouten

Fernando Alonso heeft ontkend dat hij bewust langzamer is gaan rijden en opzettelijk 'fouten faked' om zo Alexander Albon dwars te zitten. Dat gebeurde tijdens de kwalificatie, toen Alonso de uitloopzone opreed nadat Alex Albon zijn belachelijke gedrag tijdens de kwalificatie van Baku bekritiseerde.

Terwijl coureurs probeerden nog een snelle ronde te rijden na de rode vlag van Q1, klaagde Albon over de boordradio aan zijn team Williams dat Alonso bestraft moest worden: "Hij reed expres langzaam en het was duidelijk hoe hij van de baan ging. Het was belachelijk. Hij remde zo vroeg en toen ging hij gewoon van het circuit af."

Alpine-coureur Alonso is echter niet gediend van zulke beschuldigingen en schoof de schuld echter af op Albon. De Spanjaard vertelde DAZN: "Ik kwam de baan op met gebruikte banden en ging langzamer dan zij, maar hey, dit is Bakoe. Als ze een minuut eerder waren begonnen, waren ze mij voor geweest."

Alonso ontkende ook dat hij tijdens zijn run bewust de uitloopstrook opreed om de ronde van Albon te verpesten: "Sebastian Vettel ging in dezelfde bocht de muur in; de McLarens ook."

Spelletjes

Albon was er echter niet van overtuigd dat Alonso echte fouten had gemaakt en gelooft nog steeds in het faken van fouten: "Er worden spelletjes gespeel. Natuurlijk worden er spelletjes gespeeld in de F1. Het zijn gewoon dingen die gebeuren. Ik ben niet boos op Fernando, hij is een slimme jongen en hij speelt het spelletje goed."

Was overduidelijk opzet van Alonso. Alonso zat niet eens in de buurt van de racelijn toen hij voor de bocht remde en zijn wagen parkeerde zonder ook maar een bandje te blokkeren.

Niet de eerste keer dat Alonso dit soort spelletjes speelt.

Baan opzettelijk afsnijden in Japan 2018 (2 keer), Abu Dhabi 2018 (3 keer), Rusland 2021, Miami 2022 (2 keer) en dan nu weer opzettelijk een gele vlag veroorzaken. Wordt tijd dat Alonso een race ban krijgt voor dit soort acties.

  Zal niet gaan tenzij de Raceleiding had ingegrepen en hem een reprimande had gegeven! achteraf is dit niet meer mogelijk, hij is natuurlijk wel slim zolang ze dit toelaten zal hij het herhalen als dit nodig mocht zijn, probleem is meer dat anderen dit ook gaan doen als het ze gaat uitkomen

  Je vergeet nog dat hij bewust bleef staan in de pit zodat Hamilton, toen zijn teamgenoot, niet kon gaan voor een 2de snelle rone in kwalificatie. Alonso pakte pole. Maar toen werd dacht ik die pole afgepakt, omdat Alonso een straf kreeg. Lang geleden, maar ik dacht ik meld het. Als achtergrond. Hamilton was niet bepaald lief in die tijd voor Alonso. Daar is volgens mij aardig wat gebeurd intern tussen de twee.

Weet nog wel dat hij Coulthard een brake Test gaf tijdens een race bijna 20 jaar geleden. Werd volgens mij niet bestraft. Tegenwoordig zou je een race geschorst worden

Dat zou Alonso nooit doen.
Er zijn wel ergere dingen niet bestraft door de FIA de laatste tijd.
Albon heeft dan ook niks met blauwe vlaggen bijvoorbeeld.

Het was op zijn minst vreemd wat Alonso deed. Er was geen enkele aanleiding om de uitloopstrook te pakken, wat echter wel direct geel tot gevolg had. Dus ja, zeg het maar, wat was hij daar aan het doen...?...
