Verstappen kent problemen van Oostenrijkse Grand Prix

Max Verstappen hoopt dit weekend een einde te kunnen maken aan de succesvolle reeks van concurrent Ferrari. De Italiaanse renstal won de afgelopen twee Grands Prix en hoopt dit weekend in Frankrijk eveneens sterk voor de dag te kunnen komen.

Verstappen begon de Oostenrijkse Grand Prix twee weken geleden nog vanaf de pole position nadat hij een redelijk dominante sprint had gereden. In de race wilde het echter niet vlotten en werd Verstappen voorbij gestoken door,ik grote Ferrari-rivaal Charles Leclerc.

De problemen in Oostenrijk waren opvallend maar Verstappen en zijn team Red Bull Racing weten inmiddels wat er aan de hand was. In Frankrijk bleef hij tegenover de internationale media redelijk cryptisch: "Het lag niet alleen aan de banden maar ook aan de manier waarop we de auto hadden afgesteld. Niet alleen qua set-up maar ook het algemene pakket was in Oostenrijk niet in orde. Ik hoop dat we competitiever zijn in Frankrijk door wat we geleerd hebben."

      Heb een andere invalshoek:

      Bij deze neem ik alle door mij geleverde kritiek op deze schrijvert terug, als Monegask levert hij een buitengewone prestatie om hier in vaak behoorlijk Nederlands berichten te plaatsen.
      Zeker omdat ie daarnaast ook nog eens rondjes moet rijden in een scharlakenrode Ferrari van het team uit Maranello...

      Ik geloof hem wel, die verkoopt zelden onzin, Ferrari heeft dit ook al vaker gehad dit jaar, dat de race setup niet goed genoeg was. kan iedereen overkomen. het zal wel weer gewoon spannend worden.

      We hebben weer een gewoon raceweekend voor de boeg dus de afstelling al nu wel weer op orde zijn. Blijkbaar met 1 vrije training voor afstellen de plank enigszins misgeslagen. Kan gebeuren en weer door.

    Hij bedoelt dat ze in Oostenrijk ineens kozen voor een meer downforce setup terwijl dat in de races daarvoor juist minder was? Ben erg benieuwd, het wordt ook nog eens snikheet daar op Paul Ricard

      Het wordt niet "snikheet".
      34°c is een hele normale temperatuur voor deze regio in deze periode.

      Sterker nog dat is de reden dat half Nederland zijn/haar caravan naar Zuid Frankrijk sleurt want voor minder doen ze het niet.

      Deze sait maakt er weer "kiezel heet" van en zuigt een verhaal uit haar duim voor de clickjes.
