Marko zet deur op een kier voor Schumacher: "Samenwerking met Ferrari moet stoppen"

Het silly season voor 2023 zal in een nog hogere versnelling komen nu Oscar Piastri definitief is bevestigd om volgend jaar zijn Formule 1-debuut te maken bij McLaren. Alpine heeft zeker een stoel te vullen naast Esteban Ocon, en speculaties brengen hoofdzakelijk Pierre Gasly in verband brengen met het Renault aangedreven team.

Red Bull-adviseur Helmut Marko zegt in de basis dat Gasly bij AlphaTauri rijdt maar stelt dat er voorwaarden zijn waaraan Alpine moet voldoen: "We hebben een geldig contract voor 2023, maar we zijn momenteel met elkaar in gesprek."

Het is duidelijk dat die 'gesprekken' gaan over een financiële compensatie voor het halen van de Fransman, uit het laatste jaar van zijn Red Bull-contract. Marko: "Als aan onze voorwaarden wordt voldaan, staan we Gasly niet in de weg. Het zou een droom zijn die uitkomt voor hem om in een Frans fabrieksteam te rijden. Maar er is nog niet aan alle voorwaarden voldaan."

Vervanger Gasly

Wat betreft wie Gasly zou vervangen bij AlphaTauri, zegt Marko niet meteen aan Mick Schumacher te denken, maar zet de deur wel op een kier. Dat hangt voornamelijk af van zijn contract met Ferrari, dan naar verluidt ontbonden worden zodat hij vrij is om te gaan en staan waar hij wil.

Marko vertelde aan Sport1: "Franz Tost staat dicht bij hem en gelooft in hem, maar zolang Mick Schumacher in het opleidingsprogramma van Ferrari zit, zullen we hem niet hierheen halen."

"Hij begon dit jaar slecht, maar raakte toen in supervorm. Zijn snelheid op Silverstone was bijvoorbeeld buitengewoon indrukwekkend, ook al is er nog steeds een klein gebrek aan consistentie", zei Marko over de prestaties van Schumacher dit seizoen.

Een ander gerucht is dat Indycar-ster Colton Herta de stoel zou kunnen krijgen. Ralf Schumacher, oom van Mick, zou dat een slechte keus vinden: "Marketing is marketing, maar sport blijft sport. Ik wil hem niets ontnemen, maar uiteindelijk reed hij enkele weken geleden een F1-test bij McLaren. Als die indrukwekkend was geweest had hij volgend jaar bij McLaren gereden, en niet Piastri."

Gasly laten ze wel gaan, Red Bull heeft niets anders te beiden voor Pierre , dus ja als hij naar Alpine kan gaan zal Pierre het zien als een stap omhoog.

Maar dat er heibel in de tent gaat komen met Ocon dat is nu al zeker, ik neem aan dat hij weet waaraan hij wil beginnen.

Eerlijk is eerlijk. Schumacher heeft gisteren wel een geweldige prestatie neergezet in de kwalificatie. Is zou het geen slechte keus vinden. In de f2 heeft Red Bull op dit moment ook geen weteldtalenten zitten. Drugovich is de enige waardige f1 coureur in de f2 op dit moment.

  Herta heeft bovendien te weinig punten en zijn prestaties zijn momenteel niet indrukwekkend. Als je tiende staat in een kampioenschap dat wordt geleid door onze vriendelijke Zweedse vriend, denk ik dat je nog lang niet klaar bent voor de F1.

Weg met die gozer, voegt niks toe. Ik ook niet aan dit forum maar wou het even kwijt. Hopen dat Marko meeleest. Latifi, Stroll en deze overschatte Schumacher mogen van mij weg. Zhou krijgt nog 1 seizoen de kans van me.

Waarom wordt Herta steeds genoemd? Die heeft bij lange na niet voldoende punten voor de licentie.
Ik zou wel Drugovich willen zien, rookie erin waar alpha Tauri voor bedoeld is.

Geruchten gaan dat Ferrari het contract wil ontbinden met Schumacher, dan is hij vrij om te gaan waar hij wil. Schumacher is best goed bezig en het ligt eraan wat Haas wil met hem. Maar ik vermoed dat hij zelf ook inzet om misschien wel bij Alpine in te stappen, maar AT zou natuurlijk ook niet verkeerd zijn. Ik gun het Schumacher wel om nog wat langer in de F1 te blijven, zeker als hij het weet vast te houden wat hij nu laat zien.

  Wat ik had gehoord is dat Ferrari al afscheid genomen heeft van Mick. Zijn contract liep tot en met dit jaar en het is niet verlengd door Ferrari. Raar???
  
  Maar ik zou het geen gek idee om Mick een aller allerlaatste kans te geven bij Alpha Tauri voor een jaartje.. wie weet komt er toch nog iets uit.. en met het vooruitzicht van Audi... Duitse coureur... met de naam Schumacher... Bwoah.
