Magnussen neemt deel aan Gulf 12 Hours

Kevin Magnussen rijdt sinds jaar weer in de Formule 1 bij het team van Haas. Vorig seizoen reed de Deen in eduranceraces in de Verenigde Staten. Magnussen staat voor de komende jaren nog onder contract bij Haas, dat betekent echter niet dat hij de endurance-deur achter zich heeft dicht getrokken.

Magnussen maakte gisteren namelijk bekend dat hij gaat meedoen aan de Gulf 12 Hours in december. De Deen zal in een GT3 Ferrari in actie komen op het circuit in Abu Dhabi. Magnussen zal bij de race een team gaan vormen met onder andere zijn vader Jan Magnussen. Magnussen senior kwam in het verleden ook uit in de Formule 1.

Magnussen zal gaan rijden in een Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 van het team van MDK Motorsports. Naast zijn vader deelt de Deense Haas-coureur de auto ook met Mark Kvamme. Magnussen ontmoette Kvamme tijdens het Formule 1-weekend in Miami en daarna kwam met het idee van deelname aan de Gulf 12 Hours.
