Italiaanse media voorspelden het al, maar nu is het officieel: Charles Leclerc krijgt een gridstraf van tien plaatsen vanwege een motorwissel. De Scuderia wil onderdelen uitproberen voor 2023.

De Ferrari-coureur krijgt de zesde verbrandingsmotor, terwijl er maximaal drie zijn toegestaan in het seizoen. Ook wordt de turbocompressor vervangen en dat is ook de zesde van 2022, drie meer dan wat mag.

Voor elk component een straf van plaatsen op de grid, waardoor het totaal op tien uitkomt.

Wat is er vreemd aan mijn opmerking? In de meest gunstige situatie start hij vanaf plek 11. Als hij een dijk van een race rijdt, kan hij de race winnen. Daarmee zou hij de fans van Ferrari een mooie dag beleven. Vandaar mijn opmerking.
