Daniel Ricciardo reed afgelopen weekend in Mexico een zeer sterke race. Ondanks een tijdstraf van tien seconden kwam hij als zevende over de streep en werd hij ook op die positie geklasseerd. De Australiër werd verkozen tot Driver of The Day, tijdens de race zat hij vol in zijn concentratie.

Tijdens de race was Ricciardo immers op jacht naar de concurrentie. Over de boordradio kwam ook de naam van Mercedes-coureur George Russell ter sprake. Terwijl zijn engineer hem de nodige informatie gaf over de Brit was Ricciardo druk bezig met zijn job. De Australiër was even vergeten hoe de Mercedes-coureur heette en noemde hem 'Russell George'.
