Afgelopen weekend vond in Las Vegas het zogenaamde Launch Event plaats. Mercedes-coureurs Lewis Hamilton en George Russell en Red Bull Racing-coureur Sergio Perez gaven een demorun. Na afloop spraken ze met presentator David Croft en dat zorgde voor een nogal ongemakkelijk moment op het podium.

Croft is immers ook de commentator van Sky Sports. De omroep werd anderhalve week geleden in Mexico geboycot door het gehele team van Red Bull Racing. Russell heeft dat nieuws vanzelfsprekend ook meegekregen en besluit Croft in het ootje te nemen. Russell vroeg Croft of hij Perez wel mag spreken en dat zorgde voor een ongemakkelijke lach op het podium.
