Verstappen verschijnt aan de start van virtuele 500 mijl van Sebring

Alhoewel de Formule 1-wereld zich middenin de winterstop bevindt, zit men niet in de vakantiemodus. Wereldkampioen Max Verstappen is druk en rijdt dan ook nog de nodige rondjes. Op 3 december komt Verstappen dan ook in actie tijdens de virtuele editie van de 500 mijl van Sebring.

Verstappen staat bekend als een groot fan van simraces. De Nederlandse tweevoudig wereldkampioen Formule 1 neemt regelmatig deel aan virtuele races en hij mengt zich daar dan ook in de strijd om de zeges. Ook aankomende zaterdag komt Verstappen weer in actie tijdens een speciale simrace: de virtuele 500 mijl van Sebring.

Verstappen komt tijdens de vierde ronde van de Le Mans Virtual Series in actie voor het team van Redline. De Nederlander rijdt voor zijn gebruikelijke simteam en deelt daarbij de digitale auto met zijn landgenoot Jeffrey Rietveld en de Duitse simcoureur Max Benecke. Verstappen is niet de enige bekende naam die aan de sport verschijnt, ook Romain Grosjean, Beitske Visser, Job van Uitert en Rudy van Buren nemen deel aan de virtuele 500 mijl van Sebring.
