Felle kritiek voor vertrekkende Binotto: "Had 'm paar jaar geleden al ontslagen"

Het team van Ferrari kwam vorige maand met het nieuws dat teambaas Mattia Binotto zou vertrekken, later kondigde men Frédéric Vasseur aan als opvolger. De exit van Binotto werd niet door iedereen begrepen maar Rene Arnoux juicht dit juist toe. De Fransman is van mening dat Binotto al veel eerder had moeten vertrekken.

Het team van Ferrari beleefde dit seizoen een zeer wisselvallig seizoen in de koningsklasse van de autosport. Alhoewel ze weer konden meevechten voor de zeges, ging niet alles naar wens. Coureurs Carlos Sainz en Charles Leclerc vielen meermaals uit met hardnekkige betrouwbaarheidsproblemen en kregen daarna ook nog eens te maken met mislukte tactieken. De situatie kostte Binotto dus de kop.

Oud-coureur Rene Arnoux staat volledig achter het ontslag van Binotto. De Fransman is uitermate kritisch op de Italiaan en dat deelt hij met La Gazzetta dello Sport: "De fouten die hij heeft gemaakt zijn echt onvergeeflijk. Ik ben nooit fan geweest van hem. Iemand die zegt dat het volgend jaar beter wordt, hoort zo'n functie niet te bekleden. Ik had hem een paar jaar geleden al op straat gezet. Dergelijk gedrag valt niet te tolereren als je aan het hoofd van het mooiste team ter wereld staat. Jean Todt zou zoiets nooit gezegd hebben."

      Ach, misschien heeft René gelijk. Maar hij heeft weer even een opleving ergens net een journalist. Las ook weer ergens een reactie van hem over de 'gestolen titel door Max in 2021.

    Misschien zit ik er naast en zo diep gaat mijn geheugen ook niet maar Jean Todt had toch ook een paar jaar nodig voordat de eerste overwinningen en later wk's kwamen?

Maar hij stelt dat Binotto persoonlijk niet functioneerde, wat natuurlijk veel te makkelijk is. En geen woord over wat Binotto als ingenieur gedaan heeft. Niet interessant, hij had hem eruit geflikkerd...

    Arnoux heeft helemaal gelijk, Binotto had gewoon lekker ingenieur moeten blijven want teambaas zijn is toch echt een heel andere dicipline. Iets met schoenmaker en leest..........

      Die sigaretten peuken CEO Playboy voor hem maakte er anders ook weinig kaas van als teambaas, en die scheen wel enige ervaring te hebben in de baas te spelen van een groot bedrijf en aansturen van ondergeschikten.

      Enige Teambaas die echt knap te verstaan is in het Engels, is Horner

      Blijf erbij, waarom Mercedes en RedBull succesvol zijn, is de simpele reden, stabiliteit en personele rust in deze teams, iets wat Ferrari absoluut niet heeft.
      Als het even niet goed gaat, hoef je niet meteen bang te zijn voor ontslag bij hun, maar schouders eronder en leren van je fouten.

      Wanneer Ferrari die doctrine ook leert, dan zullen de successen weer binnen stromen, Ferrari heeft de Knowhow, de faciliteiten, maar niet het hogere management van een winnend team dat tegenslag kan hebben

      Dan nu mijn reactie:

      Binotto heeft wel gezegd dat Ferrari dit seizoen geen kampioen hoefde te worden, dit terwijl het scharlaken rode team uit Maranello nog volop kans had om wel mee te strijden om de titel(s).
      Dat vond ik ook (zacht gezegd) vreemd...
