Grosjean verwacht sterk Ferrari in 2023

Het team van Ferrari kende dit jaar een wisselvallig seizoen. De Italiaanse renstal won weliswaar weer Grands Prix maar kende wel veel betrouwbaarheidsproblemen, het kostte teambaas Mattia Binotto uiteindelijk de kop. Romain Grosjean denkt dat Ferrari aankomend seizoen weer kan gaan meevechten om de zeges.

Ferrari leek dit seizoen al een gooi te kunnen gaan doen naar de eindzege. Charles Leclerc schreef twee van de eerste drie Grands Prix op zijn naam en zijn voorsprong op Max Verstappen was immens. Leclerc kreeg echter te maken met betrouwbaarheidsproblemen terwijl Verstappen bezig was met een indrukwekkende zegetocht. Ferrari werd uiteindelijk net aan tweede in het constructeurskampioenschap.

Voormalig Formule 1-coureur Romain Grosjean verwacht in 2023 weer veel van de Italiaanse renstal. De Zwitserse-Fransman was te gast in de podcast van Motorsport Magazine en daar deelt hij zijn voorspellingen: "Ik denk dat Ferrari weer sterk zal zijn volgend jaar. Ik denk dat ze vooral in de kwalificatie een snelle auto hadden. Charles deed het geweldig. Hij maakte een paar foutjes maar het gaat erom dat je dat kan herstellen. Als je vooraan rijdt en alles gaat volgens plan, dan is het makkelijk dan wanneer je een inhaalslag moet plegen. Er zijn dan dingen die voor een achterstand zorgen."
