Alonso neemt persoonlijke sponsor mee naar Aston Martin

Fernando Alonso mag zich sinds 1 januari officieel een coureur van het team van Aston Martin noemen. De komst van de Spaanse tweevoudig wereldkampioen werd al eerder aangekondigd maar zijn contract ging pas op 1 januari gelden. Hij neemt tevens een sponsor mee naar het team.

Alonso's nieuwe werkgever Aston Martin heeft namelijk het bedrijf Citi Bank toegevoegd aan de lijst van partners. Het bedrijf is al sinds 2017 verbonden aan Alonso. De Spaanse tweevoudig wereldkampioen draagt sindsdien het logo regelmatig op onder andere zijn helm. De komst van Alonso kan voor Aston Martin dus niet alleen zorgen voor een sportief succes maar ook een commercieel succes.
