Verstappen houdt sterke reeks in stand met groot aantal WK-punten

Max Verstappen kende afgelopen jaar een zeer succesvol seizoen in de koningsklasse van de autosport. De Nederlandse Red Bull Racing-coureur verbrak meerdere records waaronder het record van de meeste WK-punten in één seizoen. Vergeleken met zijn eerdere scores vallen er een aantal dingen op bij Verstappen.

Verstappen scoorde afgelopen seizoen in totaal 454 WK-punten, het was genoeg voor zijn tweede wereldtitel. De Nederlander houdt hiermee zijn sterke reeks die al sinds 2018 loopt in stand. Sinds daar jaar heeft hij namelijk elk jaar meer dan 200 WK-punten gescoord. Alleen in 2017 en zijn debuutjaar scoorde hij minder dan 200 wereldkampioenschapspunten.

Zijn consistentie is indrukwekkend, maar dat geldt eigenlijk voor het hele Red Bull-team. Ontwerpteam, pitcrew en strategie is vrijwel foutloos. Dat moet toch enig comfort bieden.
