Kampioenswagen Verstappen komt naar Maastricht

Max Verstappen kroonde zich in 2021 tot de eerste Nederlandse wereldkampioen Formule 1. De Red Bull Racing-coureur prolongeerde afgelopen jaar zijn wereldtitel en heeft inmiddels een sterrenstatus in Nederland. Iedereen die Verstappens eerste kampioenswagen wil zien, kan daar binnenkort voor terecht in Maastricht.

De RB16B, de wagen waarmee Verstappen wereldkampioen werd in 2021, is binnenkort namelijk te zien bij een speciale beurs in het MECC in Maastricht. Van 12 januari tot en met 15 januari vindt namelijk in het MECC de Classic Car Show Maastricht plaats. De aankomende editie van het evenement heeft als thema 'Dutch Grand Prix Classics', dat betekent dus ook dat er veel Formule 1-materiaal aanwezig zal zijn.

De Red Bull RB16B van Verstappen is het pronkstuk van het evenement in Maastricht. Naast de wagen van Verstappen zijn er nog meer klassieke en historische Formule 1-wagens te bewonderen. Het Louwman Museum leent de Porsche van Carel Godin de Beaufort uit. Daarnaast is ook de Shadow van Jan Lammers uit 1979 te bewonderen. Op de beurs zijn verder ook een Ferrari Sharknose, een Lotus 77 en een Lotus 21 Climax te zien.
