Alonso arriveert bij Aston Martin voor eerste werkdag

Fernando Alonso’s eerste werkdag zit er alweer op. Eerder deze week maakte de tweevoudig wereldkampioen zijn begin bij de Britse renstal. Ook is de nieuwe Aston Martin-kleding in de korte video te zien; volgens de sponsorspotters Decalspotters op Twitter, is het nieuwe design van de Aston Martin-kledij door haar partner Hugo Boss afkomstig.

De eerste werkdag van Fernando Alonso luidt het begin in van een nieuw avontuur binnen de Formule 1. Alonso nam in 2022 de beslissing om het team van Alpine te verruilen voor het opkomende Aston Martin, dat naar eigen zeggen daad bij woord toevoegt met de bouw van onder andere een nieuw hoofdkwartier en windtunnel.

Ook is Alonso in zijn nieuwe Aston Martin-merchandise te zien. Volgens het bekende Twitteraccount @Decalspotters is de nieuwe kleding gefabriceerd door Aston Martin-partner Hugo Boss. Ook zou er een nieuwe sponsor te zien zijn, namelijk XP Investments, een investeringsplatform van Braziliaanse afkomst.

Je kan beter een Merc hebben dan de eigen motor; enkel de Honda is krachtiger en die zijn bij de ontwikkeling nota bene geholpen door Mercedes.

Het mooiste zou natuurlijk zijn als deze organisatie die toch vrij serieus aangepakt is, de samenwerking kan vinden met een autofabrikant. Een eigen motor, maar ook het gewicht van een automerk achter zich hebben met allerlei technische partners zou de laatste stap kunnen zijn om echt naast de drie huidige topteams te kunnen staan.

  Naar 2026 zijn de regels simpeler en kun je dus een auto ontwikkelen welke beter geoptimaliseerd is voor de motor. Als je als Aston Martin (of wat het dan ook zou worden als er een echte fabrieksrelatie komt) topambities hebt, kun je beter het maximale exploiteren van een eigen motor.

na 1 jaar een Ferrari, 4 jaar een Honda en 2 jaar een Renault, nu eindelijk met de Mercedes V6 PU. Veels te laat, maar toch denk ik dat dat idee m wel bevalt. Als je Alonso zn resultaten bekijkt op wikpedia, dan is het 1 en al 'ret' in het V6 tijdperk. Hopelijk staan er voor komend jaar alleen maar mooie cijfertjes.
