Alonso rijdt eerste officiële Aston Martin-meters tijdens bandentest

De Formule 1-wereld ontwaakt langzamerhand uit een lange winterslaap. Een aantal coureurs is inmiddels weer de baan opgegaan met Formule 1-materiaal. Fernando Alonso kwam gisteren in het Spaanse Jerez in actie tijdens een bandentest voor Pirelli, het was tevens zijn eerste echte sessie voor Aston Martin.

Alonso reed eind vorig jaar ook al de post season test voor Aston Martin op het circuit van Abu Dhabi. Toentertijd werd hij uitgeleend door Alpine, waar hij toen nog onder contract stond. Gisteren mocht hij voor het eerst het Aston Martin-pak aantrekken en verrichtte hij de bandentest in zijn thuisland. De Spaanse tweevoudig wereldkampioen kwam niet als enige in actie, het team van Mercedes was ook aanwezig voor een aantal testrondjes.
