Leclerc genoot van eerste rondjes in SF-23: "Alles ging zo smooth"

Het team van Ferrari presenteerde gisteren de nieuwe SF-23 tijdens een opvallende launch-show in Maranello. De wagen werd namelijk direct het circuit opgestuurd door Charles Leclerc. Voor het oog van de gehele wereld reed de Monegask de eerste rondjes ooit met de SF-23 en na afloop was hij zeer lyrisch over de wagen.

Ferrari pakte de presentatie van de SF-23 groots aan. Voor een volle tribune op het circuit van Fiorano reed men de eerste rondjes met de wagen en lieten alle kopstukken van het team hun gezicht zien. De fans konden gelijk genieten van de nieuwe wagen en datzelfde gold voor Leclerc. De Monegaskische coureur deed overduidelijk rustig aan, maar hij had wel direct een beeld van de wagen.

Smooth

Na afloop glunderde Leclerc dan ook. De Ferrari-coureur genoot van zijn eerste rondjes in de SF-23 en dat enthousiasme stak hij niet onder stoelen of banken. Na de run sprak hij zich uit bij de camera van Ferrari: "Het voelde erg goed. De eerste kilometers met het nieuwe project nadat we zoveel kilometers hebben gereden op onze simulator, dat voelt echt zo enorm speciaal. Alles ging ook echt zo smooth."

Feedback

Leclerc reed slechts een paar rondjes met de SF-23, hij weet dan ook nog niet hoe de wagen zich precies zal gaan gedragen in het komende seizoen. Leclerc: "Het is na twee rondjes natuurlijk lastig om goed in te gaan op de details, maar ik heb al wat feedback kunnen geven aan de engineers toen ik in de auto zat. Op het eerste gevoel voelt alles wel soepel aan, dus ja je kan wel zeggen dat alles heel goed ging."

    Ferrari president John Elkann voelde niet de behoefte om aanwezig te zijn tijdens de presentatie en CEO Vigna vertelde de aanwezigen dat de SF23 een snelheid heeft die zijn gelijke niet kent.
    Ik wens Vasseur heel veel sterkte met deze twee .......... (vul in wat van toepassing is)

      De koers Ferrari aandeel (RACE) is vervijfvoudigd, dat maakte onder andere Piero Ferrari in 1 klap multimijardair, dus je zit in de goede richting denk ik.

      @Mr.Monza: je kan het natuurlijk ook heel anders verklaren. Onze Fred heeft inmiddels zoveel vertrouwen ingeboezemd binnen de Ferrari top, dat beide heren hem volledig de vrije hand geven. Sterker nog, Fred zou gezegd hebben: "Just stay the f*ck away, I don't need a nursing maid" ;-)

      Deze pipo's zijn wel even van een ander kaliber dan Sergio Marchionne zeg.. Dat je niet bij zo'n event bent, de presentatie van de nieuwe bolide van je vlaggenschip, is echt stuitend.

      Cordero di Montezemolo was letterlijk lost for words, toen dat nieuws hem bereikte.
      Elkann wordt geslacht in de Italiaanse F1 media.
      Maar zoals het een goede aristocraat betaamt, he don't give f*ck wb. het geklaag van het gepeupel.
