De Grand Prix van België zal gewoon met alle coureurs van start gaan. De FIA heeft zojuist bekend gemaakt dat ook de vier rijders die buiten de 107% van de snelste tijd in Q1 eindigden mee mogen racen.

Michael Schumacher crashte al in zijn outlap van Q1 door een losgelopen wiel, terwijl HRT-coureurs Daniel Ricciardo en Vitantonio Liuzzi en Virgin-rijder Jerome D'Ambrosio gewoon te langzaam waren. "Het gaat erom dat een coureur gedurende het weekend laat zien dat hij binnen de 107% kan rijden", legde Marc Surer uit. "In de vrije trainingen is dat alle coureurs meermaals gelukt. De auto mag ook gerepareerd worden, maar aan de afstelling mag niks worden veranderd."
