De Vries mist VT3 door Power Unit-wissel

Momenteel wordt op het Jeddah Corniche Circuit de derde vrije training afgewerkt. Voor de teams en coureurs is het de laatste mogelijkheid om meters te maken en de benodigde data te verzamelen. Er komen in deze sessie echter maar negentien coureurs in actie, Nyck de Vries moet de training overslaan.

Het team van AlphaTauri meldt tijdens de training namelijk dat De Vries niet in actie zal komen tijdens de sessie. De Italiaanse renstal meldt dat de monteurs momenteel bezig zijn met het wisselen van zijn Power Unit. Wat er precies aan de hand is met de krachtbron van de Nederlandse coureur is niet bekend, het is de verwachting dat hij gewoon in actie kan komen in de kwalificatie.
