Demorun Bottas in Australische Supercar bij Adelaide Motorsportfestival

Na afloop van de Grand Prix van Saudi-Arabië zullen veel Formule 1-coureurs even een weekje op adem komen. Voor Valtteri Bottas geldt dit echter niet, aangezien de Alfa Romeo-coureur op het Adelaide Motorsportfestival een aantal demoruns gaat vertonen. Eerder was al bekend dat de Fin achter een klassieke Alfa Romeo GTV Group A racewagen gaat stappen; inmiddels is bekend dat de tienvoudig Grand Prix-winnaar ook in de uitdagende Commodore VF gaat rijden, de auto die in 2016 de Bathurst 1000 heeft gewonnen.

Valtteri Bottas lijkt goed op weg te zijn om in de toekomst tot Australisch ereburger benoemd te worden. De 33-jarige man uit het Finse plaatsje Nastola is naast het hebben van een Australische vriendin én uiterlijk tijdens de afgelopen winterstop geregeld in het land down under te vinden; volgende week doet de Formule 1-coureur er nog een schepje bovenop.

Tijdens het grootse Adelaide Motorsportfestival zal Bottas namelijk een aantal demoruns gaan uitvoeren. Eerder kondigde de Fin via zijn social media al aan dat hij in de klassieke Alfa GTV Group A Touring Car zal gaan rijden, waarbij hij in het filmpje eraan toevoegde dat hij graag in een Australische supercar zou willen gaan rijden, mocht die kans zich gaan voordoen.

De organisatoren hebben naar zijn verzoek (hint) geluisterd, want inmiddels is bekend dat Bottas ook achter het stuur van de Commodore VF gaat rijden, de supercar die in 2016 de prestigieuze Bathurst 1000 heeft gewonnen. De langeafstandsrace op het legendarische Mount Panorama Circuit werd toentertijd door coureurs Will Davison en Jonathon Webb gewonnen. Voor het evenement in Adelaide wordt het stof van de auto geveegd zodat Bottas in vol ornaat een demorun kan gaan doen.

Zonde dat de door de mand gevallen coureur die dit seizoen nog miljoenen betaald krijgt door mijn favoriete team Ricky de lachbek dit niet mag doen?

Dit is een negatieve manier om Bottas te beschrijven, die dit jaar veel kritiek heeft gekregen omdat hij niet goed genoeg presteerde als teamgenoot van Lewis Hamilton bij Mercedes. “Door de mand gevallen” betekent dat iemand zijn ware aard of gebrek aan kwaliteit heeft laten zien.
  
  Dan zegt de reactie “die dit seizoen nog miljoenen betaald krijgt door mijn favoriete team”. Dit suggereert dat de persoon die reageert een fan is van Mercedes en dat hij of zij vindt dat Bottas te veel geld verdient voor wat hij doet. Het is bekend dat Formule 1-coureurs hoge salarissen krijgen, maar sommige fans vinden dat sommige coureurs meer verdienen dan anderen.
  
  Vervolgens zegt de reactie “Ricky de lachbek dit niet mag doen?”. Dit is een verwijzing naar Riccardo Patrese, een voormalige Italiaanse Formule 1-coureur die bekend stond om zijn brede glimlach en grappige persoonlijkheid. Hij reed onder andere voor Alfa Romeo in de jaren tachtig. De persoon die reageert lijkt te suggereren dat Patrese beter geschikt zou zijn om in de Alfa Romeo GTV Group A racewagen te rijden dan Bottas.
  
  De reactie eindigt met “Hup Valteri trouwens, super positieve gast!”. Dit lijkt ironisch bedoeld te zijn, aangezien de rest van de reactie erg negatief is over Bottas. “Hup” is een aanmoediging die vaak wordt gebruikt in de sport, maar hier waarschijnlijk sarcastisch wordt gebruikt. “Super positieve gast” is een manier om iemand te complimenteren, maar hier waarschijnlijk ook niet serieus bedoeld. Bottas staat niet bekend als een heel uitbundige of expressieve coureur.
  
  Samenvattend is de reactie een kritische en spottende opmerking over Bottas en zijn demorun in een Australische supercar. De persoon die reageert lijkt een fan te zijn van Mercedes en Patrese en geen respect te hebben voor Bottas. Ik hoop dat dit u helpt om de reactie beter te begrijpen. 😊"
