Alonso wint prijs voor beste inhaalactie van de maand

In de afgelopen jaren heeft de Formule 1 allerlei nieuwe prijzen in het leven geroepen. Coureurs werden beloond voor de meeste inhaalacties in een seizoen, kregen een prijs voor de pole position en de fans kunnen elk weekend stemmen op de 'Driver of the Day'. Fernando Alonso heeft nu nog een nieuwe award gewonnen.

Dit jaar wordt namelijk een prijst uitgereikt voor de beste inhaalactie van de maand. Aangezien de eerste maand van het seizoen net achter de rug is, is de prijs voor het eerst aan de winnaar gegeven. Alonso werd in Melbourne beloond voor zijn inhaalactie op Lewis Hamilton tijdens de seizoensopener in Bahrein. De Spaanse coureur nam de prijs in ontvangst tijdens een event met de fans.
