Narain Karthikeyan blijft geloven in toekomst in de Formule 1

Ondanks dat Narain Karthikeyan enkele maanden geleden aan de kant werd gezet door Hispania Racing, gelooft de Indiër nog altijd dat hij nog niet klaar is met de Formule 1. Tijdens het Grand Prix-weekend in India zal Karthikeyan nog eenmaal het stoeltje overnemen van Daniel Ricciardo, maar ook daarna ziet hij zichzelf nog wel in de Formule 1 racen.

"Ik wil graag zo lang mogelijk in de Formule 1 rijden", vertelde Karthikeyan. "Het blijft nog altijd het hoogste van de autosport. Alleen zal de tijd moeten uitwijzen hoe het zich precies gaat uitpakken. Het contract dat ik gesloten heb met Hero Motors is voor langere tijd en het helpt ook dat er nu een Grand Prix in India is. Hopelijk kan ik daardoor genoeg budget voor volgend jaar bij elkaar rapen."
