Alonso wint wederom award voor beste inhaalactie van de maand

Fernando Alonso is momenteel bezig met een zeer sterk seizoen in de koningsklasse van de autosport. De Spaanse Aston Martin-coureur eindigde al drie keer als derde en krijgt ook van de fans veel waardering. De fans hebben hem ook in april weer verkozen tot de coureur met de beste inhaalactie.

Sinds dit jaar reikt de Formule 1 elke maand de zogenaamde 'Overtake of the Month'-award uit. Fans kunnen via sociale media stemmen op hun favoriete inhaalactie. In de maand maart ging deze onderscheiding naar Alonso en ook in april was het weer raak voor hem. Zijn inhaalactie op Carlos Sainz in Azerbeidzjan heeft hem de award opgeleverd.

    Nee, eerlijk gezegd heb ik helemaal niks met dit soort gekunstelde awards.
    Driver Of The Day vind ik al een totaal debiele award aangezien de waan van de dag al bepaald wie deze gaat verdienen. Zo hebben we bij het afscheid van Hulkenberg, Räikkönen en Vettel kunnen zien dat zij spontaan DOTD werden zonder enige noemenswaardige akties op de baan.
    Zo ook de pitstop award voor de snelste servicebeurt, terwijl die stop ook nog eens aan een minimale tijd moet voldoen omdat ze niet te snel mogen zijn.
    Als het aan LibertyMedia ligt krijgen we straks ook nog een award voor mooiste "special helmet livery" per evenement, of een "grappigste persmoment" of een "flattest tyre spot - Powered by Pirelli".

    Doe mij dus nog maar een litertje azijn en hou het verder gewoon bij racen zonder poespas en/of sprintraces, awards en andere onzinnige zaken.

      "terwijl die stop ook nog eens aan een minimale tijd moet voldoen omdat ze niet te snel mogen zijn." Die onzin heb je zeker van Olav Mol met zijn 2 seconden? was idd een enorme straf die uitgedeeld werd toen een team (Ik dacht McLaren) vorig jaar onder die 2 seconden zat ........ Not
