Stroll tweemaal beboet voor overschrijden maximumsnelheid pitlane

Aston Martin-coureur Lance Stroll kende een redelijke vrijdag in Miami en op het eerste gezicht lijkt daar niet zoveel bijzonders aan te zijn. De Canadese coureur mocht zich echter twee keer bij de stewards melden omdat hij twee keer de maximaal snelheid in de pitlane had overschreden.

Stroll reed in de tweede vrije training 80,3 kilometer per uur in de pitlane. Dit is een overtreding aangezien de maximumsnelheid in de pitlane ligt om 80 kilometer per uur. Hij graag een boete van honderd euro en mocht zich daarna direct weer melden in de stewardsruimte. Stroll reed aan het einde van de training namelijk 83,5 kilometer per uur en dat leverde hem een boete van 400 euro op.
