Wat gebeurde er nog meer in de autosport op de zaterdag?

Behalve de Formule 1, kwamen nog meer raceklasses in actie op de zaterdag. Hieronder een korte resumé van wat er in de ochtend gebeurde.

Formule E

Jakarta is het decor van de tiende ronde van het elektrische kampioenschap. In Indonesië wordt een double header afgewerkt, waarvan de eerste race in de vroege ochtend plaatsvond.

De winnaar was voormalig F1-coureur in dienst van Porsche, Pascal Wehrlein. De Duitser finishte voor de Brit Jake Dennis en landgenoot Maximilian Guenther, de polesitter. Robin Frijns scoorde twee puntjes met een tweede plaats.

Door de overwinning steeg Wehrlein naar de tweede positie in de stand op maar twee punten achterstand van Nick Cassidy.

Formule 2

Na de Monaco mochten de coureurs van de toekomst dit weekend weer opdraven voor de volgende ronde in Barcelona. Vanochtend was de sprintrace. Frederik Vesti behaalde zijn derde overwinning van het seizoen 2023 op een natte baan en versloeg zijn naaste titelrivaal Théo Pourchaire.

De Fransman kwam laat in de race op gang na de laatste Safety Car-herstart om vanaf de negende plaats op de grid een belangrijke tweede plaats te behalen en Vesti binnen handbereik te houden in het kampioenschap. Teamgenoot van Pourchaire, Victor Martins, werd derde en zette beide ART Grand Prix-coureurs op het podium. Richard Verschoor werd zesde.

Vesti's overwinning brengt hem op 99 punten, waarmee hij zijn voorsprong op Pourchaire op de tweede plaats, nu op 93 zelf, iets vergroot. Iwasa blijft derde met 70 punten voor Hauger en Maini, die de top vijf vervolledigen met respectievelijk 53 punten en 49 punten.

Formule 3

Net als de Formule 2, kwam de Formule 3 ook in Barcelona in actie. Zak O'Sullivan bleef koel op weg naar zijn tweede overwinning van het seizoen 2023 in de sprintrace op het Circuit de Catalunya. Ondanks twee herstarts en een snelle Luke Browning erachter leidde de Prema-coureur elke ronde van de wedstrijd. Browning moest uiteindelijk genoegen nemen met de tweede plaats, waarmee hij zijn eerste Formule 3-podium veiligstelde voor de als derde gefinishte Leonardo Fornaroli. X

Bortoleto breidt zijn voorsprong in het rijderskampioenschap uit tot 24 punten dankzij een vierde plaats. Gabriel Mini volgt op 56 punten. Gregoire Saucy staat op de derde plaats met 49, drie en vijf punten voorsprong op het PREMA-duo Dino Beganovic en Paul Aron.

Ik denk niet dat de puntentelling in de Formule E zo bizar is.

Overigens fijn dat de eerdere post over deze fout geplaatst is. Oh nee, het is te confronterend om elke keer op fouten te worden gewezen, dus dan maar een filtertje op de posts…..
