Steiner ontvangt reprimande na kritiek op stewards

Haas-teambaas Günther Steiner moest zich gisteren melden bij de stewards omdat hij zich kritisch had uitgelaten over hen. De stewards hebben ruim 24 uur gewacht met het doen van een uitspraak in deze zaak. Vandaag werd bekend dat Steiner slechts een reprimande heeft ontvangen.

Steiner liet zich op een persconferentie in Spanje kritisch uit over de stewards. Hij gaf aan dat hij vindt dat de stewards echte professionals moeten zijn, zoals het geval is in andere raceklassen. Tevens was hij kritisch op de werkwijze van de stewards. Hij moest zich voor deze woorden melden bij diezelfde stewards. Daar bood hij zijn excuses voor als zijn woorden verkeerd werden begrepen. De stewards gaven in hun beslissing aan dat de woorden van Steiner inderdaad verkeerd konden worden begrepen en gaven hem een reprimande voor het overtreden van artikel 12.2.1.k.

    Gewoon niet zo slim van hem om er een éénmansactie van te maken. Dat riekt naar een poging tot manipulatie, proberen voordeel te halen vooral voor eigen team.
    Terwijl z'n redenatie op zich prima was. Zoals eerder gezegd: als hij mede- teamleiders had meegenomen, dan had het misschien wel iets kunnen betekenen.
    Nu verandert er niks.

      Nee je krijgt een reprimande door de integriteit van het kampioenschap in twijfel te trekken.

      Wat RJHvandaag ook aangeeft... deze lobby in je eentje doen is voor de FIA makkelijker tot zwijgen te brengen dan als dit een lobby van 8 teams zou zijn geweest.

      Hij pakt het vervolgens zelf op een onprofesionele manier aan, door ze te beledigen.
      Hij komt er nog goed vanaf

      @Audi, Steiner heeft gewoon gelijk, het ligt er zo bovenop welk team en rijder ze wel of niet mogen. En inderdaad ze hebben geen enkele opleiding gehad.. o jij hebt geracet? Kom maar langs als scheidsrechter.. En ik ben een neutrale kijker, kan me niet schelen wie er wint, maar valt gewoon enorm op. Akkefietje Haas?; straf. Akkefietje Mercedes?; lang over denken.. inmiddels komt Max ook sneller weg met een akkefietje, maar erg consequent gast het in elk geval niet.

    Belachelijk, hoe vaak hebben de stewards de plank misgeslagen in al die jaren. Als ze iets niet goed doen, dan mag daar zeker iets van gezegd worden.
