Jordan looft Verstappen: "Hij maakt het saaier dan in de Schumacher-jaren"

Max Verstappen maakt momenteel veel indruk in de Formule 1. De Nederlandse regerend wereldkampioen is zeer snel domineert de koningsklasse van de autosport. Eddie Jordan is enorm onder de indruk van de resultaten van Verstappen en stelt dat hij de beste coureur ooit gaat worden. Jordan vindt Verstappen zo goed, dat het saai wordt.

Verstappen eindigde dit seizoen in alle Grands Prix op het podium en won alleen in Saoedi-Arabië en Azerbeidzjan niet. In beide races ging de zege naar zijn teamgenoot Sergio Perez. De Mexicaanse coureur maakte verder veel foutjes waardoor zijn achterstand op Verstappen in het wereldkampioenschap alleen maar is gegroeid. Verstappen ging ondertussen alleen maar door met winnen.

Voormalig Jordan-teambaas Eddie Jordan is enorm onder de indruk van de prestaties van Verstappen. De Ier stelt dat Verstappen de allerbeste gaan worden. In de podcast Formula for Success spreekt hij zich uit: "Laten we één ding niet vergeten: Max zal uitgroeien tot de beste coureur aller tijden. Zo goed is hij inmiddels. Ik heb niet genoten van de laatste paar races, ik verveelde mij dood. Zo goed is hij, hij maakt het saai. Het is nu zelfs saaier dan in de jaren waarin Michael Schumacher domineerde."

      Jordan, ouwe Eddy een pachtkerel.
      Altijd een leuke vent gevonden, evenals Minardi leuke dingen gedaan in races en met coureurs. Anders dan cheater Briatore.

      Welke spanning!? Elk weekend pakt Max de poleposition, gaat na het doven van de lichten als Road Runner ervandoor en zien hem vlak voor het vallen van de vlag weer terug. Wauw, wat een spanning en entertainment 😂😏

      Volgens mij was het cynisch bedoeld.

      Maar goed. ALs je dat wil kan je maar beter niet kijken. Er is zelden zo'n seizoen als 2021. Ook in de toekomst zal er dominantie zijn en makkelijke overwinningen. Leef er mee of kijk niet.

      Ik haal voldoende plezier uit F1 om in te schakelen mocht ik thuis zijn.

      Ik sta er anders in. Ik probeer regelmatig naar de races te kijken, maar kan het helaas niet opbrengen om naar een hele race te kijken. Dit was ook zo met Jacques Villeneuve, Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton en nu Max Verstappen. Dominantie van een team is dodelijk voor het kijkplezier!

      Oké, Verstappen verdwijnt aan de horizon de laatste races. De spanning is dan ook niet vooraan te vinden, maar een race draait niet om Max alleen. Op spanje na heb ik toch onderhoudende races gezien. Zeker het genieten waard dit seizoen.

      Ilmop is dus de nieuwe doelgroep, races van een kwartier ander duurt het te lang.
      Verstappen komt nauwelijks in beeld en achter hem spanning alom. Genoeg om van te genieten dus.
      Dat je hier zelfs een account gemaakt hebt? Je hebt nooit een race afgekeken?

      Ik had dat 20 jaar geleden met voetbal, ILMOP. Dat gebrei met die bal.... Ik besloot niet meer te kijken, weet dan ook niets meer van de sport. En ik mis het geen seconde.
      Heerlijk rustig. Heel Nederland aan de buis. Ik lekker ergens naar toe. Heerlijk.

      Als we mogen kiezen dan liever geen dominantie. Het liefst zie ik Verstappen elk jaar tot het uiterste gaan om op de valreep de titels te pakken.
      Dat maakt hem alleen maar grootser dan dat ie nu al is.
