Jules Bianchi sneller dan Sergio Perez bij testsessie Ferrari

Sergio Perez en Jules Bianchi mochten vandaag achter het stuur kruipen van de Ferrari uit 2009 voor een testsessie op Fiorano. Perez mocht eerst twee dagen in de simulator doorbrengen alvorens hij vandaag het zou gaan opnemen tegen Bianchi, die al langere tijd deel uitmaakt van het opleidingsprogramma van Ferrari.

Tijdens de testsessie vandaag was Bianchi sneller dan de huidige coureur van Sauber. Perez kwam met zijn 1:00.650 ongeveer vier tienden tekort op de tijd van de GP2-coureur. Echter, hij reed 70 ronden, terwijl Perez slechts 46 keer het circuit in Italië rondde.

"Vandaag hebben we twee verschillende programma's gevolgd met de twee coureurs", vertelde Luca Baldisserri. "Sergio maakte indruk ondanks dat het pas zijn eerste keer in een Ferrari was. Hij kon zich snel aanpassen aan de auto en was vanaf het begin al snel en agressief. Met Bianchi hadden we de auto met speciale sensoren uitgerust om de samenhang tussen de auto op het circuit en onze simulator te meten. Het was dus vooral bedoeld om data te verzamelen."

"We hebben vandaag veel ronden gereden en het was een goede ervaring voor me", verklaarde Bianchi na afloop van de test. "Deze ronden helpen me allemaal voor de toekomst die ik graag in de Formule 1 wil hebben. Vanaf nu kijk ik erg uit naar de Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi en dan zal ik in de auto van dit jaar rijden."

Sergio Perez voegde daaraan toe: "Dit was een speciale dag voor me. Ik wil Ferrari bedanken voor deze kans dat ik me alsnog kan verbeteren en kan leren ondanks de beperkte testmogelijkheden. Het was een droom van me om een Ferrari te besturen en het was ook een belangrijke stap in mijn carriére."

Ik vind het erg interessant wat Sergio hier zegt:

About the speculation of a possible signing with Ferrari Team Checo mentioned that their just that, speculations. For now Im with Sauber F1 Team and will be throughout 2011. Im concentrated with working with them, however is quite pleasing to think about a possibility of racing for Ferrari one day.

Hij noemt enkel 2011, maar hij heeft toch ook al een 2012-contract? Erg interessant dat hij het enkel over dit seizoen heeft...

Scherp opgemerkt Rudi! Ik denk dan ook dat we zo ergens rond december het nieuws zullen vernemen dat Ferrari en Sauber Massa en Perez gaan ruilen....!

Spijtig dat Rigon nog in de lappenmand ligt. Normaal had hij deze test gedaan. Wetende dat hij sneller is dan Bianchi (in de simulator )....
