Alonso blij met nuttige data ondanks verregende VT1

De vrijdag in Budapest was veel courers omgewoon. Vaak is het erg warm en droog op de Hungaroring, maar nu viel er een bak water naar beneden. Fernando Alonso was ondanks een nutteloze eerste vrije training tevreden.

"Het was een wisselende dag met wat regen en wind op de Hungaroring", begon de Spanjaard. "We verloren tijd in VT1 en kregen niet veel tijd op het circuit, maar het was voor iedereen hetzelfde", relativeerde de tweevoudig kampioen.

Over de tweede sessie was Alonso blij hoe het was gegaan. "Ik denk dat we VT2 hebben gemaximaliseerd en veel nuttige gegevens hebben verzameld, vooral ter voorbereiding op de raceomstandigheden."

"Over het algemeen ben ik best tevreden met vandaag en we zullen zien wat we kunnen doen in de kwalificatie met hopelijk droge omstandigheden", sloot hij af.
