Alfa Romeo ontvangt reprimande voor Bottas-fout

Valtteri Bottas moest zich vanochtend vroeg al melden bij de stewards op het circuit van Zandvoort. De Finse Alfa Romeo-coureur arriveerde namelijk te laat bij het verplichte mediarondje op de donderdag. Dat is in strijd met het sportieve reglementen, maar de stewards hebben slechts een reprimande uitgedeeld.

De stewards hebben besloten dat he team van Alfa Romeo een reprimande heeft gekregen. Uit de documenten van de FIA blijkt dat Bottas inderdaad te laat was gearriveerd in de TV Pen. Volgens het team hadden ze de mediaplanningen van Bottas en zijn teamgenoot Guanyu Zhou gewisseld. Hierdoor wist Bottas niet waar hij zich moest melden, Alfa Romeo heeft daarna extra tijd aan de mediaverplichtingen toegevoegd zodat iedereen met Bottas kon praten.
