Tsunoda ontvangt gridstraf voor blokkeren Hamilton, Stroll niet

Yuki Tsunoda en Lance Stroll moesten zich na afloop van de kwalificatie in Zandvoort melden bij de stewards vanwege het blokkeren van Lewis Hamilton. Beide coureurs reden Hamilton in de weg, maar de stewards hebben slechts één gridstraf uitgedeeld voor het blokkeren.

Stroll reed de Mercedes van Hamilton in de weg tijdens het eerste gedeelte van de kwalificatie. De stewards geven hem geen straf omdat ze zagen dat Stroll aan de kant ging voor meerdere auto's en daarna zelf begon aan zijn snelle ronde. Volgens de stewards ging hij in bocht 13 net zo snel als de snelle wagens, maar miste hij momentum waardoor Hamilton hem tegenkwam. De stewards vinden het niet genoeg voor een penalty.

Yuki Tsunoda blokkeerde Hamilton in het tweede gedeelte van de kwalificatie. De stewards hebben hier wel een straf uitgedeeld, de Japanse AlphaTauri-coureur moet drie plaatsen naar achteren op de grid. Volgens de stewards kan Tsunoda makkelijk wegblijven van de racelijn en was zijn actie dan ook onnodig.

    Ik hoorde hamilton zelf zeggen dat het Alonso was.......saw die sig vergist hebben...........

    Ik word Egg Dement..........khai netnog de qualy zitten kijken.......kon niet ondekken dat Tzunoda in de weg reed.....met die AstonMartin wel.......

      MustFeed@ t zou anders niet de eerste keer zijn dat op willekeur dingen wel of niet wordt bestraft.

      Over het algemeen is de FIA harder voor de achterhoede teams met straffen.

      Al was t wel de laatste run dus Yuki had niet op de racelijn moeten zitten voor zijn eigen bescherming... ook al vond ik de afstand op tv nog te doen. Het is daar altijd druk.

    Ik vond niet dat Yuki iets verkeerd deed? Hamilton is met zwaardere overtredingen weggekomen en Yuki krijgt een straf omdat Hamilton vond dat die in de weg reed….blijft toch raar.
