Bottas kiest voor uniek retrodesign in Monza

Niet alleen het team van Alfa Romeo heeft dit weekend een andere look, ook Valtteri Bottas kiest voor een opvallend uiterlijk. De Finse coureur heeft namelijk voor een heel bijzonder helmdesign gekozen. Bottas rijdt dit weekend in Monza namelijk met een design dat verwijst naar de vroege dagen van de Formule 1.

De helm van Bottas heeft zijn eigen hoofd met een klassieke helm als uitgangspunt. Op de helm is namelijk de helm en de stofbril te zien die coureurs in de jaren '50 droegen. Aangezien Alfa Romeo toen ook actief was in de Formule 1, zijn er ook verwijzingen naar het merk te zien. Op de helm eert Bottas ook Nino Farina en Juan Manuel Fangio. De helm is ontworpen door zijn vriendin Tiffany Cromwell.

Mijn vrouw vond hem hlml niks aan, flets blotenbillengezicht aldus mijn wederhelft, maar nu met die mat en die snor vind ze het een kei gave, coole gast geworden.

Ik vind het ook vele malen leuker, die trailertrashlook en die ondeugende kop van 'm.
