Sainz en Norris slaan handen ineen met financiële samenwerking in investeringsfonds

Samen met andere topsporters, voornamelijk uit de Europese voetbalwereld, hebben F1-coureurs Carlos Sainz en Lando Norris in een fonds geïnvesteerd dat eerder deze maand werd gelanceerd. Het zogenoemde Elite Performance Fund wil zich specialiseren in sporttechnologie en media, betrokkenheid van fans en voeding.  

Volgens Fox Sports zijn F1-coureurs Carlos Sainz en Lando Norris hoofdinvesteerders van het Elite Performance Fund. Naast de namen van twee topsporters uit de racewereld, heeft het investeringsfonds ook de toewijding van een aantal Europese topvoetballers aangetrokken. Zo zijn onder andere Raphael Varane en Ajax-bekenden Christian Eriksen, Jan Vertonghen en Daley Blind bij de investeringen achter het moederbedrijf van het fonds, APEX Funds, betrokken.  

Tevens weet Fox Sports te melden dat het investeringsfonds de adviezen van haar investeerders zal gebruiken om sportgerelateerde doelen te zoeken.

Als topsporter zou ik me helemaal niet bemoeien met nog meer geld verdienen met iets waar ik geen verstand van heb maar pas na mijn carrière.
Ik ben natuurlijk ook nog nooit in zo'n situatie geweest, hahaha.

    Als topsporter zou ik me helemaal niet bemoeien met nog meer geld verdienen met iets waar ik geen verstand van heb maar pas na mijn carrière.
    Ik ben natuurlijk ook nog nooit in zo'n situatie geweest, hahaha.

      Daarnaast is het altijd nog maar de vraag of ze er nog meer geld mee gaan verdienen, want lang niet ieder investeringsfonds is een succes. In dat opzicht lijken sommige investeringsfondsen ook wel een beetje op de F1: Om miljonair te worden moet je als miljardair beginnen ;-)

      Zou een leuke piramide scam kunnen zijn.

      Kijk zulke documentaires graag dus mocht het zover zijn dan ga ik er vanuit dat Netflix of X of weet ik hoe ik t dan moet kijken wel een leuke serie van maakt.

      Voor Norris en Sainz maakt het niks uit, als ze hun geld in peperdure horloges stoppen, kunnen ze het ook zomaar kwijt zijn...

      @HarryLam: waarom riekt dit naar oplichting?

      Het kan best volstrekt legitiem en op termijn zelfs bijzonder succesvol en lucratief zijn. Het hangt er puur vanaf in welke bedrijven ze investeren en of die bedrijven succesvol zijn. En uiteindelijk of ze hun aandelen in die bedrijven vervolgens met winst kunnen verkopen.

      Er is voldoende potentieel op het gebied van technologie in de sport, denk aan de loopschoenen van Nike voor de marathon, kleding en materiaal voor wielrenners en schaatsers, betere (sterkere, lichtere) clubs voor golf, etc.
      Als je alleen al kijkt hoe het Jumbo team de Tour de Fance heeft aangepakt op een puur wetenschappelijke wijze, met oog voor de kleinste details (zoals de volgauto vol met fietsen zetten bij een tijdrit, puur voor betere aerodynamica), dan zie je dat technologie en wetenschap echt wel wat kunnen opleveren. Vooral in sporten waar kleine details het verschil kunnen maken.

      Omdat ze dit vast niet zelf bedacht hebben, maar op "aanraden'" van deze of gene hiermee in zee gegaan zijn. Helaas kan het niet meer anders kon je Cruyf vragen hoe dat werkt. Maar de tijd zal het leren, gun die boys alle succes.

    Investeren is nooit verkeerd. En als je toch geld hebt waar je niet zoveel mee doet kan je prima investeren. Slim.

      Het is slimmer om in bestaande investeringsfondsen met een track record te investeren. Investeren in nieuwe technieken betekent 9 van de 10 keer dat je je geld kwijt bent omdat het “niet aansloeg” “de markt er niet klaar voor was” of “men het onvoldoende begreep”. Dus investeren kan zeker wel verkeerd aflopen. Je kan er beter auto’s voor kopen.
