Verstappen verwacht zware race: "Denk dat we hier minder competitief zijn"

Max Verstappen gaat dit weekend op jacht naar zijn elfde zege op rij in de Formule 1. Op het stratencircuit van Marina Bay in Singapore verwachten kenners dat Verstappen veel concurrentie zal krijgen. Verstappen zelf geeft toe dat het geen makkelijk weekend gaat worden.

Verstappen is hard op weg naar zijn derde wereldtitel op rij in de Formule 1. In theorie kan zijn team Red Bull Racing in Singapore al constructeurskampioen worden. Hiervoor moeten Verstappen en zijn teamgenoot Sergio Perez wel als eerste en tweede over de streep komen. Het is nog maar de vraag of dit gaat gebeuren, want het lijkt erop dat Red Bull dit weekend iets minder machtig zal zijn dan in de voorgaande raceweekenden.

Verstappen heeft deze verhalen ook gelezen, opvallend genoeg is hij het hier volledig mee eens. De Nederlandse wereldkampioenschapsleider verwacht dat hij te maken gaat krijgen met veel uitdagers. In gesprek met de internationale media is hij er goudeerlijk over: "Ik denk dat we hier minder competitief zullen zijn in vergelijking met de andere circuits op de kalender. Stratencircuits zijn gewoon wat lastiger met onze auto. Ik denk toch dat alles nog steeds goed kan gaan hoor, maar het gaat wel spannender worden."

      Ach, mocht hij deze keer nog steeds niet winnen in Singapore is er altijd nog zijn lieve, zorgzame vriendin die hem zeker weten zal troosten.
      Ze is niet voor niets meegegaan.

      @John, ja ze is een week in New York geweest vanaf vorige week woensdag om de modeshow van haar vriendin Patricia Bonaldi (Patbo) bij te wonen.
      Waarschijnlijk is Max daarom gisteren pas tegen 14:00u vertrokken uit Nice. Dat was heel laat, maar dan kon Kelly nog meevliegen.

      Iemand postte vandaag deze YT video waarin te zien/horen is hoe Kelly Portugees praat. Ze is Portugees-/Franstalig opgevoed.
      Hier ziet ze er nog uit als een gewone, normale 27-jarige jongedame zonder poespas en een gezonde ronde toet.
      Dit was toen ze voor het eerst met de jonge Max (18) uit eten ging na zijn overwinning in Barcelona.

    RB een en twee is niet voldoende voor de constructeurstitel hoor. Dan mag Mercedes niet scoren, of maximaal 1 punt als RB ook de snelste ronde pakt.

    In de race is deze auto iedere keer loeisterk geweest , dus ik zou niet inzien waar een evt probleem zit.
    Als ze geen pole trainen komt hij er met een goeie tactiek wederom langs.

      O jee!! Heb ik soms iets verkeerds gezegd waardoor je je geroepen voelt om het voor Max op te nemen!? Max en Helmut proberen, net als Lewis en Toto destijds, het spannender te laten lijken, terwijl ze heel goed weten dat zij zich geen zorgen hoeven te maken over de overige teams. Vandaar mijn opmerking. Voor wat betreft het advies: hartelijk dank, maar ik weet als geen ander wel raad met voornoemde 'kwalen'😉

      Hij haalt eruit wat hij wordt toegestaan en zelf kan en dat is meestal een p2, wat wil,je nog meer.

    Vergeleken met andere races kan hij wel eens gelijk hebben.
    Ipv 20 sec voorsprong zal het 15 sec zijn met de rest.
    Die Newey raket niet op alle banen even sterk uit de verf.
    Dat wordt bikkelen voor Max en Per p2.
