Alonso presenteert zeer persoonlijke helm voor Japanse Grand Prix

De Japanse Grand Prix en het circuit van Suzuka zijn zeer populair bij veel Formule 1-coureurs. De baan vormt een grote uitdaging en ook het land heeft een speciaal plekje in het hart van veel coureurs. Ook Fernando Alonso is dol op Japan en hij rijdt dan ook met een speciaal helmdesign in het land.

Alonso ruilt zijn welbekende geelblauwe helm dit weekend in voor een compleet ander design. De Spaanse Aston Martin-coureur heeft inspiratie gehaald uit de Japanse vlag en uit de Samurai. De helm is volledig wit met de rode stip uit de Japanse vlag. Op de achterzijde van de helm is een tekening van een Samurai te zien. Deze tekening is opvallend, want het is precies dezelfde afbeelding als Alonso op zijn rug heeft getatoeëerd. Hierdoor heeft Alonso dus een persoonlijke touch aan zijn helmdesign gegeven.
