Perez heeft het zwaar naast Verstappen: "Zwaarste baan in de Formule 1"

Sergio Perez is bezig met een lastig seizoen in de Formule 1. De Mexicaanse Red Bull Racing-coureur kan zijn teamgenoot Max Verstappen vaak niet bijhouden en het onderlinge verschil is vrij groot. Perez weet dat het niet makkelijk is om samen met Verstappen een team te vormen, hij omschrijft het als de zwaarste baan in de sport.

Red Bull is dit seizoen oppermachtig in de Formule 1. De Oostenrijkse renstal heeft tot nu toe slechts één Grand Prix niet gewonnen. Alle overige zeges gingen naar Red Bull, maar het was vooral Verstappen die mocht juichen. Perez won in de openingsfase van het seizoen alleen in Saoedi-Arabië en Azerbeidzjan. Daarna zakten zijn resultaten in en liep Perez regelmatig achter de feiten aan.

Afsluiten

Perez baalt van de tegenvallende resultaten, maar hij gaat niet bij de pakken neer zitten. In een interview met De Limburger is hij juist heel positief: "Ik ben Red Bull dankbaar dat ze mij de kans hebben gegeven om voor een topteam te rijden. Ik kom tenslotte niet uit hun opleidingstraject. Het zou geweldig zijn om hier mijn loopbaan af te sluiten. Coureur zijn bij dit team is niet makkelijk. Red Bull werkt op een andere manier dan de meeste andere teams, daarom zijn ze ook zo succesvol."

Zware baan

Perez merkt dat er een verschil is tussen Red Bull en de andere teams. De Mexicaan wijst vooral naar de werkwijze, maar ook naar de teamgenoten: "Hun auto is in mijn ogen vanuit een andere benadering gebouwd dan bij veel andere teams. Het heeft tijd nodig om daar aan te wennen. Je hebt natuurlijk ook te maken met Max Verstappen als teamgenoot. Het verleden heeft bewezen dat dit niet makkelijk is. Er zijn maar weinig coureurs die met deze druk om kunnen gaan. Ik noem het weleens de zwaarste baan in de Formule 1."

natuurlijk is hier niet van te winnen momenteel, maar pak dan op zijn minst alle kruimels,dat kan beter.

Wat heeft Perez het toch zwaar. Verdient miljoenen, vliegt de wereld over en geniet van alle mooie dingen van het leven. Nee je zal maar werken in de mijnen, op een boorplatform, op een onderzeeër, in het algmeen in China of India, dan heb je het veel beter dan meneer Perez. Want je moet tech echt wel iets begrijpen en je hebt geen fijne collega (Max).

Heb echt medelijden met deze man.

Telkens dat gezeur van Perez en zijn vader dat de auto om Max heen gebouwd zou zijn. A wist hij dat van te voren en B de Hulk heeft zijn rijstijl ook aan moeten passen aan de Haas. Dus wat is het probleem.......
