Grosjean spant arbitragezaak aan tegen Andretti Autosport

Romain Grosjean was dit seizoen actief in de bekende IndyCar-klasse in de Verenigde Staten. De Franse voormalig Formule 1-coureur kwam in actie voor het topteam van Andretti, maar hij kreeg hier geen zitje voor 2024. Het lijkt er op dat Grosjean het hier niet mee eens is, want hij spant een arbitragezaak aan.

Na zijn vertrek uit de Formule 1 trok Grosjean naar de Verenigde Staten om te gaan deelnemen aan de IndyCar. Hij belandde in 2022 bij het topteam van Andretti, maar hij kon nooit echt schitteren. Voor 2024 kreeg hij dan ook geen zitje en daar is hij niet blij mee. In een statement op sociale media laat hij namelijk weten dat hij in Indiana een arbitragezaak aanspant tegen het team van Andretti.

Grosjean laat niet weten waarom hij een arbitragezaak aanspant tegen Andretti Autosport. Hij deelde een opvallend statement waarin hij zich vooral lovend uitspreekt over het team van Andretti en diens werknemers. Hij is trots op de samenwerking en hij is blij met alle vriendschappen die hij heeft gesloten bij het team. Hij laat weten dat hij teleurgesteld is dat hij in 2024 niet voor Andretti kan rijden. Of dat de reden van de arbitragezaak is, is niet duidelijk.

Geen teamgenoot was blij met hem gezien hij geen data deelde. Waa verantwoordelijk voor de meeste crashes in Andretti. Sponsor DHL loopt mede door hem weg. (Vermoedelijk naar Ganassi)

  Ik denk dat ook meetelt dat Grosjean niet bepaald gewild is op het moment. Kennelijk heeft hij ook niet de aanbiedingen voor het kiezen. De man is multimiljonair en als zodanig geboren en is waarschijnlijk gewend om alles voor zich gedaan te krijgen en snapt niet dat hij hiermee zijn carrière een flinke knauw geeft. Tenzij ze in Europa niet echt geven om wat in de VS gebeurt... Je zou zeggen dat hij in Endurance nog een leuk zitje kan vinden met zijn kwaliteiten?

  De man doet alsof die slachtoffer is, terwijl aangenomen voor het kampioenschap, 13de finisht achter Herta en Kirkwood. Dan ben je geen teamleider die het team beoogd.

  @Tyla Je weet natuurlijk niet of we nog relevante zaken zijn waar wij niets van af weten. Ik lees hier en daar dat er wel een contract getekend was, en dat negeren ze nu kennelijk. Als hij gewoon een afkoopsom krijgt is er niets aan de hand. Maar als ze ontkennen dat dat contract bestaat... dan heeft Grosjean wellicht een punt. Al blijft nog steeds de vraag of het verstandig is dit aan te vechten.
