Ralf Schumacher niet onder de indruk: "Leclerc staat op een kruispunt"

Het team van Ferrari is dit jaar bezig met een lastig seizoen in de Formule 1. De Italiaanse renstal kan toch alsnog tweede worden in het constructeurskampioenschap. Coureurs Charles Leclerc en Carlos Sainz ontlopen elkaar ook nauwelijks. Toch denkt Ralf Schumacher dat Leclerc in de spiegel moet gaan kijken.

Sainz won vorige maand de Grand Prix van Singapore. De Spanjaard is daarmee tot nu toe de enige coureur die het oppermachtige Red Bull Racing heeft weten te verslaan in dit seizoen. Zijn hoog aangeschreven teamgenoot Leclerc had het in die race lastig. De Monegask staat ook achter Sainz in het wereldkampioenschap. Leclerc staat namelijk zesde met 135 punten terwijl Sainz op de vijfde plaats staat met 135 punten.

Oud-coureur en huidige analist Ralf Schumacher denkt dat Leclerc naar zijn eigen prestaties moet kijken. Volgens de Duitser maakt hij simpelweg teveel fouten. In gesprek met Formel1.de is Schumacher kritisch: "Leclerc bevindt zich nu op een kruispunt. Hij moet zijn eigen resultaten objectief bekijken omdat er nou eenmaal niet uitmaakt dat je een groot talent bent als fouten blijft maken. Sainz is veel meer gebalanceerd. Hij heeft zeker niet zoveel talent als Leclerc, maar hij is veel veelzijdiger en hij haalt meer uit het pakket."

Inderdaad. Leclerc doet zichzelf en het team geen plezier met al die onnodige en domme fouten van hem.

Begrijp dat de naam Schumacher iets meer heeft bij Ferrari,
Dan ene leclerc.
Maar toch bedankt ome Ralph,

  Wat ik vooral niet begrijp is hoe iemand het jaren presteert om iemands naam stug fout te blijven schrijven. Je ziet toch in de titels en artikelen staan dat het RALF is. En dus niet Ralph. Ralph Firman was een andere coureur.
