Häkkinen gaat samenwerken met F2-coureur Maini

Met enige regelmaat keren oud-coureurs terug in de autosport in een nieuwe rol. Sommigen worden manager en anderen worden bijvoorbeeld analist. Ook tweevoudig wereldkampioen Mika Häkkinen keert nu terug, de nog steeds populaire Fin gaat samenwerken met een opvallende naam uit de Formule 2-wereld.

De Indiase Formule 2-coureur Kush Maini maakte deze week namelijk bekend dat hij de handen ineen heeft geslagen met tweevoudig wereldkampioen Häkkinen. Volgens Maini wordt de Finse oud-coureur zijn mentor en zal Häkkinen hem gaan begeleiden in het vervolg van zijn loopbaan. Maini hoopt dat hij veel kan gaan leren van Häkkinen, de Indiase coureur staat momenteel op de elfde plaats in het Formule 2-kampioenschap.
