Buemi voelt druk voor toekomst bij Scuderia Toro Rosso toenemen

Sebastian Buemi weet dat hij zich in de laatste vijf races van 2011 nog moet bewijzen voor een contract voor volgend jaar bij Scuderia Toro Rosso. De Zwitser claimt niet gebukt te gaan onder de druk, maar hij heeft resultaten nodig om zijn vege lijf te redden.

Buemi heeft namelijk drie punten minder dan zijn jongere teamgenoot Jaime Alguersuari. Dat kan de doorslag geven wanneer Red Bull besluit om Daniel Ricciardo door te schuiven naar Toro Rosso. Ik weet dat het steeds zwaarder zal worden richting de seizoensfinale in Brazilië, maar ik kan leven met die druk en mijn moraal is nog intact, aldus Buemi in Blick.

Alguersuari lijkt er iets meer ontspannen in te staan. De Spanjaard vertrouwde persbureau EFE toe: We hebben nog niet gesproken over de toekomst of over een contract voor 2012. Het is belangrijk dat het team alle focus toewendt aan de rest van het huidige seizoen.
