Verstappen begint in Las Vegas in de TV Pen

Het raceweekend in Las Vegas staat op het punt van beginnen. Het weekendschema ziet er iets anders uit dan normaal, maar dat betekent niet dat de eerste verplichtingen voor de coureurs veranderen. De officiële mediamomenten trappen het weekend nog gewoon af en Max Verstappen meldt zich in de TV Pen.

Aangezien de race op zaterdagavond lokale tijd wordt verreden, vinden alle sessies ook een dagje eerder plaats. Voor de Europese kijker heeft dit overigens geen gevolgen, want de avond in Las Vegas is de ochtend in Europa. De Grand Prix wordt in de gokstad dus op zaterdagavond verreden terwijl dit voor het publiek in Europa dus zondagochtend is. Ook de persmomenten vallen voor de Europese kijkers dus in de vroege ochtend.

Terwijl de zon in Europa opkomt, schuiven de coureurs in de avondschemer aan bij de persmomenten in Las Vegas. Om 21:30 lokale tijd verschijnen Guanyu Zhou, Fernando Alonso, Nico Hülkenberg, Carlos Sainz en Lando Norris in de perszaal. Op datzelfde moment melden Daniel Ricciardo, Kevin Magnussen, Oscar Piastri, George Russell en Logan Sargeant zich in de TV Pen.

Om 22:05 zijn de tweede groepen coureurs aan de beurt. In de perszaal schuiven dan Yuki Tsunoda, Pierre Gasly, Lewis Hamilton, Sergio Perez en Alexander Albon aan. In de TV Pen meldt Max Verstappen zich in het gezelschap van Valtteri Bottas, Esteban Ocon, Lance Stroll en Charles Leclerc. Op de donderdag melden teamvertegenwoordigers Frédéric Vasseur, Zak Brown, Toto Wolff en James Vowles zich bij de pers.
