Wolff niet onder de indruk van samenwerking Red Bull en AlphaTauri

De teams van Red Bull Racing en AlphaTauri gaan vanaf aankomend seizoen nauwer met elkaar samenwerken. Het nieuws werd eerder dit jaar al aangekondigd, maar de concurrentie begint zich nu zorgen te maken over de zaak. Toto Wolff haalt zijn schouders er echter over op.

Red Bull twijfelde begin dit jaar over wat ze gingen doen met het team van AlphaTauri. Het zusterteam van Red Bull Racing presteerde niet naar wens en men sprak zelfs openlijk over een verkoop. Deze optie werd al snel van tafel geveegd en ze besloten om de banden aan te trekken en een flinke reorganisatie door te voeren. De teamnaam zal worden veranderd en daarnaast zullen alle mogelijkheden binnen de regels worden benut.

Niets meegekregen

Andere teams maken zich echter zorgen over deze samenwerking. Ze vrezen dat AlphaTauri hierdoor flinke stappen kan gaan zetten. Mercedes-teambaas Toto Wolff maakt het allemaal niets uit en hij spreekt zich uit bij de internationale media: "Als ik eerlijk ben heb ik enkel meegekregen dat Tsunoda zesde werd in de kwalificatie in Abu Dhabi en dat ze sterk zijn teruggekomen. Het maakt dat ik blij ben voor de fans van het team dat het seizoen met een hoogtepunt heeft afgesloten."

Transparant

Men vreest dat AlphaTauri een aantal succesvolle onderdelen van Red Bull gaat overnemen en daardoor beter gaat presteren. Wolff maakt zich daar echter niet zoveel zorgen over: "Dit is een transparante community. Ik heb niet naar hun onderdelen gekeken, dat is iets wat andere teams vast en zeker wel hebben gedaan. Aan de hand daarvan zien we het wel. Ik heb er eerlijk gezegd nog niet teveel over nagedacht."

Nog niet veel over nagedacht....
2 bedrijven met exakt dezelfde productie benodigdheden, synergien en hetzelfde management onder 1 dak ipv 2. Daar hoef je geen top ondernemer of manager voor te zijn om daar de ´draconian´ voordelen van te zien.

Durf bijna met zekerheid te zeggen dat de auto van Wolff volgend jaar heel veel op die van RedBull lijkt.
