Steiner verwacht vroege start van transfercarrousel

Het Formule 1-veld voor 2024 is precies hetzelfde als waarmee men het afgelopen seizoen afsloot. Er zijn geen transfers gemaakt en dat is redelijk opmerkelijk. Voor 2025 verwacht men een spannend silly season, Günther Steiner denkt dat de rijdersmarkt snel op gang zal gaan komen.

Alle coureurs hadden begin december hun contract voor 2024 al op zak. Logan Sargeant moest het langst wachten, maar ook hij ontving contractverlenging. Het voelt als de stilte voor de storm, want voor 2025 ligt vrijwel alles nog open. Alleen Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Lando Norris en Oscar Piastri zijn dan al zeker van hun zitje. Verder kan er nog van alles gaan gebeuren, als is het wel de verwachting dat Ferrari-coureurs Charles Leclerc en Carlos Sainz snel hun contract gaan verlengen.

Haas-teambaas Günther Steiner houdt zijn oren en ogen in ieder geval goed open. De Italiaan denkt dat er veel gaat gebeuren en hij verwacht een vroege start van het silly season. Bij Speedcafe spreekt Steiner zich uit: "We weten allemaal wat er gaat gebeuren op de rijdersmarkt. Op een gegeven moment komen er nieuwe coureurs omdat anderen het einde van hun loopbaan bereiken. Je denkt altijd na en je ziet wat er gebeurt. Je moet opletten, maar nu is het te vroeg om een keuze te maken. Ik denk dat veel mensen vroeg gaan overstappen zodat ze voor 2025 op een goede plek zitten."

Stoeltje verstappen op slot,
Ferrari verlengd rond feb a maart de contracten dus ook op slot.
Gasly en Ocon... waarom zouden die wat anders doen?
Mclaren ook... waarom wat anders doen?

Aston Martin en RB stoeltje 2 hebben dus de sleutel tot sillyseason die eerder invloed gaat hebben op de achterhoede dan de top teams.

Alonso zou tijdens 24 wel weten of AM wel echt in staat is om een winnende auto te maken of dat podia het maximale blijft. En ik zie m stoppen als het weer punten sprokkelen wordt. Audi zou vast in 26 coureurs willen hebben die er ook in 25 al waren. Haas pakt de kruimels en williams schroeft of een jaar Sargeant bij of Antonelli.
