Verstappen kan bizarre mijlpaal bereiken in Zandvoort

Max Verstappen gaat dit jaar op jacht naar nieuwe successen in de Formule 1. De Nederlandse Red Bull Racing-coureur gaat jagen op een vierde wereldtitel in de koningsklasse van de autosport. Daarnaast kan hij ook een nieuwe mijlpaal gaan bereiken, dit gebeurt waarschijnlijk in Zandvoort.

Verstappen is al sinds 2015 actief in de Formule 1. De Nederlander heeft sindsdien vrijwel geen Grand Prix gemist en dat zorgt ervoor dat hij al veel ervaring heeft. Op zijn relatief jonge leeftijd behoort Verstappen al bij de meer ervaren coureurs van het Formule 1-veld. Sterker nog, slechts vijfentwintig coureurs hebben meer races gereden in de Formule 1 dan Verstappen. De Nederlander is dan ook dicht bij een nieuwe mijlpaal.

Verstappen staat nu op 185 Grands Prix, dat betekent dat hij de mijlpaal van 200 races dit jaar gaat halen. Daarmee zou hij de 23ste coureur uit de geschiedenis zijn die dit aantal bereikt. Als er niets vreemds gebeurt, behaalt Verstappen deze mijlpaal voor de ogen van zijn eigen fans. In Zandvoort rijdt Verstappen namelijk zijn 200ste race en dat zou dus betekenen dat hij het oranjefeest een nieuwe dimensie kan gaan geven. Momenteel staan er zes coureurs op de grid die meer races hebben gereden dan Verstappen.

    Hoe leuk het ook is en zeker als dat in Zandvoort gebeurt. 23e coureur die dit flikt vind ik niet perse bizar. Vanaf top 10 of 5 ga ik het bizar noemen.

    Logan Sargeant kan ook een bizar mijlpaal bereiken. Over 7 GP's is hij de legendarische Scott Speed voorbij in aantal GP's (de naam iets meer legendarisch dan de prestaties). Als die het hele seizoen van start gaat... Komt hij gelijk met onze eigen Albers en cocommentator Karthikeyan. Voor Andretti moet hij nog even door, maar jammer dat we het daar niet wat meer over hebben.

    Overigens is Zhou met echt een ultra hyper extreem mijlpaal bezig.... nog nooit heeft in chinese coureur zolang in de F1 gereden... en niemand heeft het er over?
