Alonso vindt huidige generatie F1-auto's moeilijk te begrijpen

Fernando Alonso kende vorig jaar een opvallend sterk seizoen in de Formule 1. De Spaanse Aston Martin-coureur liet zijn talenten zien en hij eindigde meerdere keren op het podium. Toch stelt hij dat de huidige generatie auto's zeer moeilijk te begrijpen zijn.

Alonso heeft al enorm veel ervaring in de koningsklasse van de autosport. De tweevoudig wereldkampioen debuteerde in 2001 in de sport en hij is vandaag de dag nog steeds actief in de Formule 1. Hij liet in 2023 zien dat hij nog steeds een van de beste coureurs van het veld is. Alonso stond meerdere keren op het podium en dat was een aardige verrassing. Aston Martin was in de voorgaande jaren immers niet zo snel.

Toch stelt Alonso dat hij de huidige generatie auto's zeer lastig te begrijpen vindt. Het is lastiger om de auto's goed af te stellen en bij Motorsport.com doet Alonso zijn verhaal: "De auto's zijn zeker moeilijk te begrijpen. Het is nog moeilijker om feedback te geven aan het team. Soms rijden we in deze auto's en hebben we het gevoel dat alles goed gaat. Dan stop je en dat zie je dat je veertiende staat. Soms heb je dan weer het tegenovergestelde. Dan rijd je met een moeilijke auto waarvan de balans tegenvalt en dan sta je in de top drie. Er is een gevoelige manier om de auto af te stellen."
