Verstappen kan zich nog geen leven zonder autosport voorstellen

Max Verstappen is momenteel de grote ster van de Formule 1. De Nederlandse Red Bull Racing-coureur gaat dit jaar op jacht naar zijn vierde wereldtitel en alle ogen zijn op hem gericht. Verstappen verveelt zich nog niet, hij kan zich nog geen leven zonder de autosport voorstellen.

Verstappen veroverde vorig jaar zijn derde wereldtitel op rij in de koningsklasse van de autosport. De Nederlandse Red Bull-coureur verbrak een groot aantal records en hij won negentien Grands Prix in één seizoen. Verstappen ontving veel complimenten en men verwacht dat hij in de komende jaren de Formule 1 zal blijven domineren. Hij beschikt nog over een contract tot en met 2028 en niemand weet nog wat hij daarna gaat doen.

Verstappen heeft er nooit een geheim van gemaakt dat hij ook wil gaan racen in andere klassen. Hij droomt van deelname aan de 24 uur van Le Mans en daar lijkt hij niet te lang mee te willen wachten. In een interview met Formule 1 Magazine laat hij in ieder geval weten dat hij zich nog geen leven zonder de autosport kan voorstellen: "In theorie kan dat, maar op dit moment kan ik mij dat niet voorstellen. Ik zit er nu middenin en we zijn met van alles bezig, ook met Verstappen.com Racing. We zien allemaal wel wat de komende jaren gaat gebeuren. Geloof me, op mijn 74ste kom je mij niet tegen in de paddock."
